I like reading comic books. It's generally thought of as some adolescent fantasy power trip type thing, but if you dig deeper you find pretty interesting concepts. The more interesting ones cross over into actual literature and then eventually get made into crappy movies, sometimes good ones.
My wife got me into hiking recently. Damn it sucks going up the mountain, but as they say "the juice is worth the squeeze." Being at the top of that mountain gives you this sense of accomplishment and makes you realize that you are part of something greater. You feel one with nature and there is this feeling of serenity and calm I cant experience anywhere else. But like I said going up that mountain really sucks.
I work at this insurance company and man does that really suck. It's monotonous and the only reason I like going is because I have friends there who hate it almost as much as I do. I swear I get there at 7 (sometimes later...just because I feel like it) and as soon as I sit down and turn on the computer I already want to leave and I start wandering the halls. Dont get me wrong I'm not some dead beat employee who doesnt get my work done, its just its so boring and the work sucks that I really cant sit in that 3 sided living hell we call cubicles more than 5-10 minutes. I think if I measured how far I walked around the office everyday it would be about a 1/2 mile to a mile each day.
